Gabriel Agbonlahor has criticized Anthony, the Manchester United attacker for his recent antics on the pitch. Anthony has been a part of a tussle with Brighton and Alexis Mac Allister, the Hove Albion midfielder during the defeat of the team. He had kicked out the Argentine player while they were having a heated argument. However, Antony was able to avoid red cards because of his actions. Agbonlahor while talking to the media slammed the recent antics of the Brazilian.
He stated that he feels Antony is a bit of an idiot at that time. According to him, there was no need for him to take on Mac Allister and then he tries to go chest-to-chest with Lewis Dunk, a giant. Agbonlahor feels that he has destroyed him. He further appealed to Erik Ten Hag to talk to Antony about his antics. Agbonlahor added that Antony’s frustration might be causing him to lash out at other players. According to the former striker of Aston Villa, he cannot take on a player and beat a man. Also, he is unable to get a shot at the goal. He was likely frustrated with his performance.
Agbonlahor also said that Ten Hag should speak to him about it. According to him, Antony should calm down or he is going to get red cards. Antony should try and become an £ 86 million player, which is why he was brought in to play. After he moved from Ajax with big money, he has only scored 10 goals and given 4 assists in 44 matches for Manchester United. The player has scored just 4 goals and has offered 1 assist in 22 appearances in the Premier League until now this season.
