Real Madrid’s chase for David de Gea has been reignited

During the summer transfer window of 2015, it was believed that Real Madrid had secured the services of David de Gea but the transfer was ultimately cancelled due to some documents not being transferred in time, or at least that’s the reason of why it’s believed that the deal could never complete.

The 2017 edition of the summer transfer window has kicked off and rumors involving Real Madrid signing David de Gea has once again started to multiply.

David de Gea has a contract with Manchester United which extends until 2019 but if any tempting offer emerges and a club decides to go deep in their pockets, there is actually a chance of the 26 year old goal-keeper on making a switch of clubs.

One of the few clubs that can actually splash out astronomically high amounts of money in a player is indeed Real Madrid and considering the fact that they have been attempting to sign David de Gea for over 2 years, this is a player that Real Madrid are truly interested in signing and are willing to dish out enough money as needed in order to secure the services of one the highest rated goal-keepers in the sport.

Back when Real Madrid almost signed David de Gea from Manchester United, the transfer involved a fee of around €29 million and KeylorNavas being used as bait as well. This time around, the Spanish club could also utilize one of their fringe players as enticement along with KeylorNavas and a significant money amount.

A top player like David de Gea wants to win major pieces of silverware such as the UEFA Champions League and achieving this feat is significantly easier to do with Real Madrid than with Manchester United.
