Phil Bardsley happy that Van Gaal has left

Stoke City defender Phil Bardsley has stated that he is happy that Louis Van Gaal has left Manchester United.

He said that the Dutch manager was ruining the team and that the Red Devils has lost their identity under him. Phil Bardsley is a former Manchester United youth player and said that it hurts him to see the team playing like this.

He said that Manchester United has lost his identity under Louis Van Gaal and did not play their usual attacking football. Phil Bardsley said that Manchester United’s success has been built on a direct and attacking football, and he could not see that when Louis Van Gaal was managing the team.

Phil Bardsley said that there are times when you thought that the team would be back to their best, and then they ended up messing everything and playing as if they do not know what to do. He said that it was hurting to see his beloved team playing this way. He believes that Louis Van Gaal was the wrong man in the wrong place, and this is what caused Manchester United to play this kind of football.

Phil Bardsley said that a team like Manchester United should be competing for titles and not playing a kind of soporific football. He believes that the Manchester United board makes a wrong decision by appointing Louis Van Gaal as manager.

Manchester United has since then appointed Jose Mourinho as manager. Many pundits believe that the Portuguese manager will be able to help Manchester United and that they will soon be competing for trophies again. Since his arrival, Jose Mourinho has stated that he is going to challenge for the title as from this season itself and that he is building a squad that will allow him to achieve his objective.
