Juan Mata Hails Special Talent of Marcus Rashford

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has hailed the Marcus Rashford as a special talent.

The youngster came through the ranks at United and his place at the club was growing tremendously during his first few years. However, the arrival of Jose Mourinho raised a lot of speculation that Rashford’s progress would be halted, as the Portuguese manager always has favoured experienced players. The worst for Marcus Rashford was starting to play during the summer when the club brought in Romelu Lukaku from Everton for a whopping £ 75 million. The presence of the Belgian was expected to drastically reduce the first-team opportunities for the 19-year-old.

However, Rashford has been able to make a space for himself in the squad after scoring some crucial goals so far this season. Even though he has had only 400 odd minutes of Premier League football this season, Rashford has already been able to score 2 goals and, with three assists. He also has scored in his 30 minutes of Champions League football while also coming up with a brace in the only League Cup match.

As a result, the forward has already racked up five goals in 10 appearances this season. This has earned him the price from midfielder Juan Mata, who says that Rashford’s talent is clear for everyone to see.

The special talent within the youngster has not gone unnoticed at international level with Rashford already making his presence felt with the England national team. Rashford is likely to feature for England at the World Cup 2018.“I think he has been brilliant. I think he is a special kid.I think he has a lot of talents and he has got a good mentality, which is important in that age.And he is performing very well, week in week out. Even coming from the bench, he is helping a lot. I really believe he is going to be a big player for club and country,” said Mata.
